PCI Shoe Lace Mod

Description

It shouldn't be a problem to fit a mainboard and expansion cards into a modern PC case. However, most cases are slightly distorted which obviously leads to modding. In this example a few cards slipped out of their slots when the mainboard screws were fastened. The results were contact problems which made the operating system not recognize the cards. To avoid that a shoe lace was bound to the PCI card's slot panel so they wouldn't slip out of the slot but still be in contact with the mainboard.

schuhbaendel1.jpgThe upper card was fixated with the shoe lace and applies pressure to the lower card. It's a tight fit now.
schuhbaendel2.jpgThe shoe lace was brought to the outside through an unused back panel.
