mitac486_04.jpgThe case has already been modded to make the Mitac AT compatible (it was a failure). Now, a few original parts won't fit anymore, which leads to more modding.

mitac486_06.jpgThis is the Mitac 486's CPU, an old Intel 486DX/33. It's so old it doesn't even need a heatsink.
mitac486_07.jpgBecause the PSU has already been modded in several ways there was no power connector for the floppy so the cables were just soldered.
mitac486_08.jpgThere are also a few original mods on the mainboard. Here, a tantal capacitor has been soldered over a chip to block voltage peaks.
mitac486_09.jpgSomething was modded here as well.
mitac486_10.jpgHere you see the PC's PSU, yes, you SEE it! The cover has disappeared somehow because !mURx used his cutting-disc. Now it's just open. The most gross thing is that it is kept in place by a cable tie on the fan, which is fastened by only one screw!
mitac486_11.jpgA more detailed view of the fan fastener.
mitac486_12.jpgThe Mitac has a ground, too! Only the outlet should be grounded now.
mitac486_13.jpgThis is the external CMOS battery pack.
mitac486_14.jpgThis is the harddisk. Since the 5.25" frame was shit it was fastened with strings.
mitac486_15.jpgThe harddisk's power supply was also modded.
mitac486_16.jpgAs mentioned before, the Mitac case was modded with the cutting-disc. That's why the ISA cards can't be fastened anymore. A piece of meccano helped.
