Beschreibung

Did you get cable TV lately but it's still sealed? No problem, with a bit of skill (and luck) you might be able to remove and reattach it without making anyone notice. But be careful! If you damage the seal you may have to pay a fine!

WARNING: DiM cannot be held responsible for possible penalties!

plombe1.jpg1st method

Needed parts after removal:
€ 1 coaxial cable (to the TV)
€ 1 coaxial plug for the main cable

Removing the seal:
Before connecting your TV to the main cable you have to remove the seal. You have to be very careful because it is illegal. You must not damage the seal or they'll get you. Luckily, it is possible to remove the seal without damaging it.
First, you must remove the screws that fasten the metal bracket.
Take the main cable off the small bracket so it hangs loosely.
Turn the metal bracket until it separates from the cable, together with the seal. Remove the screw cap from the cable and replace it with a coaxial plug.
Connetc you TV and the main cable via a normal coaxial cable. That's it!
(When your cable TV provider comes to inspect the installation you have to reattach the seal of course!)

Needed parts to bridge:
€ 1 coaxial cable (to the TV)
€ 1 cable used for shielding
€ 1 cable used as a coil

Bridging the seal:
If you're afraid to damage the seal you may try to bridge it. However, this is extremely ghetto and probably won't work.
Well, you wanted to try it! First, lay out a coaxial cable from the TV to the seal.
Connect the shield of the coaxial cable to the seal's.
Now it's getting tricky! Take an isolated copper cable and wrap it around the main cable as often as possible so it might catch a signal. Finally, connect that cable to the inner wire of the coaxial cable.
