Description
Not long ago I found this battery-powered vacuum when I was looking for lewt in the attic. I think my grandma ordered it with some bonus-card points but never used it. When I tried it I noticed that it had a lot of POWAH for such a small vacuum, which of course meant that it was an ARNOLD vacuum! I wasn't satisfied, though, because the vacuum looked extremely gay with its light blue case, this is not arnold worthy! To change that I bought a spray can and spray painted the case black. Now it's a true ARNOLD vacuum! |
The vacuum before I modded it. The transparent blue dust container looks pretty cool, the light blue case doesn't.
A picture of Arnold printed with a laser printer, the double-sided tape is also ready.
Arnold was taped to the front so he's visible well.
The cross-section of the case. On the right there's the electric motor with a radial fan, the battery pack consists of 4 1.2V NiCd cells. On top there are the buttons for turning on the motor and for opening the dust container.
This cheap circuit controls the vacuum. On the right a black switch which turns on the vacuum. The LED shows if the vacuum is being charged, the resistors are probably part of it, too.
The case was completely disassembled and grinded with sanding paper (800) so the spray paint will stick to it later. You can see that the parts have a less shiny look now.
The parts after spray painting the first layer. They're not 100% covered yet.
Finished painting and reassembled, now the vacuum looks a lot better, doesn't it? It deserves the ARNOLD now!
